Metropole Hotel

In 1902 Hotel Metropole opened their doors for first time. The hotel is located close to the railway station and in the heart of Alexandria's business and embassies district, directly overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Recently it was restored to its former glory and this masterpiece by Italian & Greek architects makes it one of the best Heritage hotels in Egypt. The old harbour of Alexandria is near to Metropole, same as The Greek Roman Museum, Kayed Bey Citadel and Bibliotheca Alexandria.

The reception area leads you into a hotel where many world figures and leading celebrities have stayed here, so you join a good company and history.

The restaurant of the hotel.

Les Ambassadeurs restaurant serve all day French and Middle Eastern cuisine and the business centre give your business trip the needed support.

The lounge.

The Versailles Hall can serve 400 persons for cocktail and 220 persons for a dinner reception. Conferences in theatre style can host up to 250 persons, while the lounge is a place one truly can relax.

Hotel room.

The hotel has 66 Classical Rooms and Suites. Standard rooms with self controlled air condition, direct phone line and satellite television. All Deluxe and Superior rooms have further private balcony, private phone and fax line. The different suites are Junior Suite, Paradise Suite and Royal Suite.

Please be aware that for the summer time one should book long time in advance. Still a holiday in Alexandria outside the peak summer season is pleasantly away from mass tourism and very close to the heart of the Mediterranean Sea.
