Salamlek Palace Hotel
H.M. Khedive Abbas Helmi II got the Greek architect Dimitri Fabricious Pasha to build a hunting lodge for his mistress countess May-Torok von Szendro and the Salamlek Palace stood ready in 1892.

It is located on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Montazah bay and the large Al Montazah garden with the grand Montazah Palace which often are used by the President of Egypt today for meetings with world leaders.

During the reign of H.M. King Fouad I (son of H.M. Khedive Abbas Helmi II) El-Salamlek served as a Royal Resort Palace and during the reign of H.M. King Fouad I it served as his summer office and a guesthouse for valuable guests.

At Al-Khedive salon you should not be surprised if you are met by classical music from a string quartet.

| Farouk restaurant. |
Al-Farouk restaurant was originally the study of H.M. King Farouk and the food here is still royal. Added to this there are five more casual bars and cafes.

| The Fouad Bar. |
Al-Fouad Bar offer normally live piano music. Much of the original furniture remains in the restaurants and bars as in rooms and suites.

| The Mawlana Suite. |
This historical jewel offers 14 highly individual suites and 6 rooms. As an example, the "Mawlana Suite" has five spacious rooms and a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea from the terrace.
El Salamlek also got its own palace casino as cinema, and if your mood is for a larger party - or maybe a wedding, then El Salamlek Palace is one of the most special places to have such an arrangement. Royal atmosphere is still lingering in the walls...
