Baron Hotel

Baron Hotel represents (together with Flamenco Hotel) the top peak of four star hotels in Cairo. Its location is not far from the airport, in the middle of the residence and business district of Heliopolis.

As Cairo Conference Centre, exhibition ground and more is located in Heliopolis area, all four and five star hotels in this area have the special policy that any stay over three nights will automatically be upgraded to higher corporate price for the room/s. This is done as holiday makers and tourists normally get lower prices in Egypt compared to business travellers.

Baron Palace with the hotel behind.

The Belgian banker and contractor Edouard Empain (1852-1929) and who later became Baron Empain, cooperated with Heliopolis Oasis Company and the company for the tram in Cairo. Together they planned and built a full garden city they named Heliopolis targeting the upper level of the society. Baron Empain's own palace is still standing here, and as this hotel was built just by the palace it was natural to give it the name Baron Hotel.

Reception area.

At the hotel you will find 24 hours room service, 24 hours open bank, business centre, health club and sauna, someone to look after children if needed, hairdresser, beauty saloon and shopping area.

Dinner in style.

Starlight Restaurant at the top floor give in addition to very good dishes a beautiful panorama view of the area. Le Jardin Coffee shop is open on a 24 hours basis and outdoor you will find the Terrace Restaurant.

The Pasha Bar.

Pasha Bar is a popular meeting spot for the area and therefore a place one easily can come to sit in good company - or just to sit and look out at the Indian inspired Baron Palace which during the evening is lighted up by spotlights.

Standard room

Today the hotel got 126 rooms and 14 suites, but it will soon open a new extension which also will give the hotel a swimming pool with view towards Baron Palace. All rooms got air-condition, television with satellite channels, minibar and direct phone.

Meeting and conference rooms can host up to 250 participants.
