El Gouna Hotels

This is the shores of Egypt's eastern desert, south of the cave of the founder of monasticism in Christianity, St. Antonius (251-356BC). The monastery built below his cave is still in use. In the mountain desert behind there are mines with history back to Pharaonic times while four different Bedouin tribe families are still living in this desert.

It is here on these desert shores you will find El Gouna.

A small collection of hotels and resorts are found on these lagoon shores and in the middle the small village centre Kafr El Gouna with long alleys with bars, discotheques, cinema, art galleries, school, aquarium, museum and shops. All built in Egyptian style.

El Gouna have a 18 hole golf course, health clubs, wind surfing, glass bottom boat, canoe, catamaran, boat and fishing trips, waterskiing - or just walk from hotel to hotel to enjoy different bars and restaurants.
