Taking the sleeping train through the Nile Valley today is more than a historical journey; it's by many considered a very pleasant way to travel! Mind you, it's not heritage luxury as the Orient Express or the Blue Train, still most will be positively surprised with the food and the friendly service provided by Abela Group who operates the sleeping section of the train.
In the afternoon or evening you enter the Wagon-Lits coach and you are escorted to your cabin. When journey have started, the steward will come and serve you the dinner.
The private sleeper compartments provide comfortable, fully air conditioned accommodation with washing-basin, razor plugs, soap & towels. On top of the door a luggage compartment is available. If you travel as a family, a connecting door can be opened to the next cabin.

| Two bed cabins. |
Not ready for bed yet? No problem, the stylish designed club wagon with bar and sitting tables will always welcome you for a drink of your choice.

When the sun are ready for a new day and you had a good night sleep, the Stewart will knock your door. Soon after he will bring breakfast with fresh coffee or tea.

| Breakfast in the morning. |
Think about it, the plus part is that you save the "hassle" of going back and forth to airports for a flight. You go to sleep after a dinner - or maybe a drink first, and then wake up to breakfast and your destination. Add to this that you save the price of the hotel night you would have needed if you took the flight...
 |
| Relax in the bar. |
Going to Luxor, Aswan or a Cruise, then the sleeping train is highly recommended - at least one way. If you want to see Alexandria as well, then you can just stay on the train when it arrives Cairo and follow it all the way to Alexandria.
