Sheraton Gezira Hotel

- or "El Gezira Sheraton Hotel, Towers and Casino" which is the full name of this hotel located on the south tip of the Gezira (Zamalek) island in Cairo.

Just behind the hotel you will find the Cairo Opera House with its own gallery, the Modern Art Museum of Egypt and Hanager gallery. We can strongly recommend visiting the area, and not at least the Modern Art Museum to be able to see all the exiting development during the last decades in this land of culture.

A drink in open air.

A large garden area surround the hotel and you will have a beautiful view to the hectic life on the Nile. On the shores there are feluccas (traditional Nile sailboats) which you can rent with captain for a trip on the Nile.

Focus and concentration...

Food are another pleasant chapter at the hotel, and let us short mention Andalus Cafe which serves a la carte and buffet dishes night and day. El Kebabgy is the oriental restaurant, Ciao Italia is as the name indicate the place for Italian cuisine. Rumors Piano Bar is for international dishes and during summertime the El Gondool Terrace Bar is good place to enjoy the view and a good a la carte menu.

From the nightclub.

You will soon find all the bars, but let us mention the nightclub. This especially since El Gezira Sheraton is among the few hotels that is able to secure contract with the best oriental dancers (or belly dance which most call this art form).

The hotel has 436 rooms and suites, and since the building is a round tower, each room provide its own view of Cairo. All rooms have separately controlled air-condition, television with satellite channels, direct phone, minibar, bathroom with hairdryer and more.

Here from one of the four meeting and conference rooms whereof the largest can take up to five hundred participants.

Luxor er en liten by i Egyptisk målestokk, men ikke noe annet sted på denne kloden har så mange fortidsminner og monumenter. Man behøver tid for å kunne nyte byen og all den historie som er samlet her.
