Lake Nasser was created by the gigantic High dam that was finished during the late sixties. The dam is hovering 110 meters (360 feet) above the original Nile and is 980 meters (3215 feet) wide. The Lake Nasser goes 500 kilometres (310 miles) from Aswan in north to Halfa in Sudan and average width of the lake is 10 kilometres (6 miles). Today it is daily cruise departures for Lake Nasser cruises between Aswan and Abu Simbel, and this is a great way that enables you to see all the temples saved from the dam.
